Meet Dr. Fortner
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in biology in 2008 from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, Dr. Fortner attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry, graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2012. He soon returned to Washington and began working for a community health clinic in the small town of Clarkston. In 2018, he transferred with the same company to the Spokane area, where he currently resides.
During Dr. Fortner's time as a community health dentist, he gained experience in oral surgery and sedation procedures, performing over 12,000 extractions, as well as hundreds of wisdom tooth extractions. He also completed the prestigious IV sedation course taught by Drs. Ken Reed and Stanley Malamed.
Dr. Fortner and his wife, Jenalee, have been married since 2006 and have four children. In his spare time, he enjoys activities with the family, such as camping, biking, swimming, and skiing. He has also recently been learning to play the guitar and likes to put his new golf clubs to use whenever time allows.
